Somatic Trauma Therapy Developer

IMG_2619Babette Rothschild, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. A psychotherapist since 1976, Babette is a member of the Association for Traumatic Stress Specialists, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and the US Association for Body Psychotherapy.

After living in Denmark for 9 years, Babette returned to her home town Los Angeles, California, where she maintains a private practice while continuing to offer professional training, consultation and supervision throughout the world.

Babette is the author of five books including the best selling “The Body Remembers”. Babette also contributed a chapter to Body Psychotherapy (ed. Tree Staunton) and has most recently created/edited the 8 Keys Self-Help Series.

1c3f0dePeter King, Executive Director – Peter has over 20 years experience as a Senior Clinician & Educator Mental Health Crisis Assessment teams (CAT team) and a sought after consultant providing education and program development in speciality areas including Trauma Therapy, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Psychiatric Emergencies and Mindfulness based approaches to healthcare. Peter has specialist training in Somatic Trauma Therapy DBT, Mindfulness and is in the final stages of a PhD exploring treatments for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder and clinicians training needs. Tina-Cicolini-210x210Tina Cicolini, Clinical Director – Tina is a Clinical Psychologist on the Gold Coast providing assessment and treatment of adults with Personality Disorders (with specialisation in Borderline Personality Disorder), Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, OCD and OCD Spectrum (Trichotillomania & Body Dysmorphic Disorder), and Adjustment to Health issues. Tina is the developer of the Mindful Mummas program and provides a range of consultancy and educative services in the application of DBT. Tina has specialist training in CBT, DBT, ACT and a Masters in Clinical Psychology. FullSizeRender-207x300Dr. Julie Andronaco, Research – Julie is a clinical psychologist whose Doctorate examined the experience of intellectual giftedness in young people and is titled “The experience of intellectual giftedness as asynchrony”. Julie has spent the last 4 years working in secondary schools and co-ordinating well-being teams. Prior to that she worked for Division of General Practice under the Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care Initiative initiating and developing a voluntary treatment protocol for GPs involving youth and antidepressants. Julie is intensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for Borderline Personality Disorder. She has modified and implemented a DBT program within a special accommodation for homeless youth.Julie leads our research team seeking to enhance, develop and document the successes of Somatic Trauma Therapy.
